Welcome to Angel Shorinji Kempo, a juniors’ branch of the BSKF.
Our branch was opened on Saturday 27 October 2007 by two students of Mizuno Sensei, the BSKF’s chief instructor: Robert Villiers and Blue Popovic. Since then it has grown steadily, and we now have approximately 20 children regularly attending, with an almost equal proportion of boys and girls.
The current branch master is Sensei Robert Villiers, 5th Dan. His assistants are Alice Knox (1st Dan) and Jonathan Powell (1st Dan).
They are direct students of Mizuno Sensei (who founded Shorinji Kempo in the UK in 1974). They regularly train at various branches in central London and attend national and international formative seminars, to keep their skills sharp and their knowledge up to date.
Please feel free to contact us directly, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the content of the classes and approach to training.
If you have found us via google and were looking for a Shorinji Kempo class for adults, there are numerous clubs throughout the UK, including several within a short distance of us. Please visit the BSKF website for further details.
